Description
The R35 Nissan GT-R is one of the most enduring performance cars of the 21st century. 16 years on from its 2007 launch, the GT-R is still a revered, modern, practical supercar, and commands a legion of diehard enthusiasts and admirers.
With almost 500bhp on-tap from the hand-built engines as standard, hugely advanced four-wheel-drive technology and a magnificently engineered overall package, the GT-R truly felt like the first supercar for the digital age.
The example on offer with us is a 2009 Black Edition example. It has – as we’re sure you’ve noticed – been extensively modified by its previous owner, particularly in the cosmetic department. Firstly, the large rear wing, skirts, splitter and grille are all carbon fibre. It sits on 20” Advan Racing GT wheels, and Michelin Pilot Sport tyres. Inside, you will find an uprated aftermarket infotainment system, bringing this 2009 model right up to date.
The car was originally painted white, but has since received a fresh respray of Porsche ‘Gelb’ yellow.
Beyond the aerodynamic benefits of the bodykit, this GT-R has also received a suite of performance upgrades. This car has a distinctive, more raspy engine note than a standard R35, courtesy of an Armytrix exhaust kit. This accessory grants the car an additional 15bhp on its own, and can be quietened down using a key fob remote.
Additional upgrades are found under the bonnet, including a GruppeM induction kit and HKS dump valves. Stopping power is enhanced by a new set of Brembo discs and pads.
The car has completed 36,726 miles, and is now ready for a new home after a recent 72-month service from renowned Nissan GT-R specialists Litchfield. The near £6,000 service – including the fitting of an upgraded Litchfield bellhousing – has ensured that the car is in prime condition for its next owner.
This unique GT-R will be an exciting, eye-catching purchase for any Japanese car enthusiast, and could serve as a solid base for further modifications for the power-hungry and flamboyant driver.
