Description
The Honda S660 looks special among its Japanese kei car peers, courtesy of its sportscar-styling and mid-engined configuration. Outside of Japan, and respelendent with Mugen aftermarket parts, this S660 is almost totally unique.
The S660 tips the scales at just 830kg, and is powered by a three-cylinder, 660cc turbocharged engine from the N-Box city car. However, to improve throttle response, engineers revised its turbo geometry to produce quicker acceleration and stronger mid-range torque. To lift the overall performance, the redline is raised from 7,000rpm to 7,700rpm.
In standard trim, the car is incredibly fun to drive and is remarkably purposeful for such a dimunitive vehicle.
Our example goes leaps and bounds further, however. It comes with a Mugen body kit, including a redesigned sporty roof, side skirts, front lip and rear-wing. It also features aftermarket RSR suspension, 16-inch 5Zigen Proracer wheels, an advanced air filter, HKS SQV dump valve and Greddy intercooler. Inside, you will be greeted by stunning half-leather, half-alcantara trim.
With 12500km on the clock - equivalent to just under 7800 miles - this 2015 car is still practically brand new.
If you're looking for a fun drivers' car that will turn heads in any environment, be it a Japanese car show or out in the wild, this customised, performance-focused S660 is a baby NSX that will bring joy to its new owner.
