Description
Borne out of the appreciation that the 911R received in being a rear wheel drive car with a naturally aspirated 4.0 litre engine and a manual gearbox, porsche introduced a touring version of the 991.2 911 GT3 as a no-cost option. These changes involved, removing the rear wing and replacing it with a retractable spoiler (à la Carrera GTS), offering only the 6-speed close-ratio manual transmission and only a leather interior with no roll cage.
Effectively making the 911R obsolete and making its speculators feel rather silly, the GT3 touring offers a stripped back and arguably more enjoyable driving experience than many of its turbocharged automatic siblings and instead of turbocharger whistle you get a tuneful flat-six engine that revs to 9000rpm and produces a very respectable 493bhp.
This car is offered in Carrara White Metallic with a fabulous custom interior featuring hondstooth seats and carbon accents as well as custom exterior decals. 4009 miles on the odometer, this car would make a perfect touring companion.
