When the Chevrolet Corvette C8 launched, it marked a new horizon for the iconic American sportscar. For the first time, Chevrolet’s flagship performance car was mid-engined, setting its sights on the supercars of Europe.
The eighth-generation Corvette is as impressive as ever, with 475bhp on-tap. In the UK, all C8s feature the Z51 performance kit, meaning stiffer suspension and optimal handling from the car’s advanced chassis.
While the position of the engine has changed, the sound of it has not. A new 6.2-litre, naturally-aspirated LT2 V8 is utilised in the C8, and is a true Corvette motor in every sense.
The waiting list for the new Corvette here in the UK is one for the patient-minded. However, the example of the C8 3LT n our showroom only has delivery miles on the odometer, and thus it is all but factory fresh.
